Born and raised in the Swiss Alps, brothers Mat and Seb founded HAE out of a shared love for mountain adventure and an insatiable passion for nature.
Joining forces with AWA, they created a new carrying strap designed to take your AWA Steel to new heights.
Each HAE × AWA strap is made by Mat himself at HAE in Valais, Switzerland. Cut, assembled and finished by hand in a limited run of just 100 pieces.
Reclaimed Climbing Ropes
Swiss rock climbing company, Mammut™ puts every rope through rigorous testing. What doesn’t meet the standard required for technical climbing never makes it onto the mountain. Rather than let the material go to waste, Mammut™ passes it on to HAE, giving it a new purpose as the HAE × AWA strap.
Adventurous at heart, with a shared love for materials and craft, AWA and HAE approach making in much the same way: thoughtful materials, functional design, and objects made to last.
